The View at Monktonhill was cosy and inviting, welcoming a lovely, enthusiastic audience who gathered to hear me read from my new, little publication , PERSPECTIVES, with a musical interlude, of lyrically interesting songs, provided by my husband, Ken.

I started by giving a short background to my writing ‘journey’ , and what had prompted me to decide to put my poetry in print.

I was overwhelmed by the response to my work, making the evening very special.

Happily, many audience members purchased copies, and provided touching comments about the evening in my Launch Event Book. I was keen for this event to be one from which a charity would benefit, and my choice was to support RIVER GARDEN, AUCHINCRUIVE which supports residents with addictions to start new lives. I was therefore delighted to be able to donate the ticket price to this worthy cause.
